Some highlights from a leave replacement assignment in 2016, The students learned basic construction techniques through a number of interesting projects. The Ceramics II class used coil construction to create "Udus" [Nigerian pot drums] for example, and the Ceramics I classes made slab construction birdhouses. Few birdhouses are seen here as I made the mistake of sending them home where they... acquired residents before the spring art show...]
